Jaroq
Jaroq is a magical bird summon of our university's group project called the Bird's Eye View. This is the character that the player will be playing throughout the game while assisting the Tashi, our summoner to survive the valley.
A high-to-low poly baking workflow was used, so I sculpted the bird first in ZBrush and then brought it to Maya for retopology. Textures are done in Substance 3D Painter with a touch of handpainted texture to match the aesthetic of the game and uses 1K texture map. The final asset has a poly count of 20.6k tris while using feather cards to maintain performance efficiency.
